Open garden Sunday 15th April, Rivendell, 13 The Leys, Amersham

We are once again opening for the NGS on Sunday 15th April from 2-5pm, at Rivendell, 13 The Leys, Amersham HP6 5NP. From Amersham take A416 N towards Chesham and The Leys is on L ½m after Boot & Slipper Pub. Parking is at the Beacon School, 100yds N. We have a south-facing garden developed over the last 27 years comprising a series of linked areas each with different growing conditions, enabling a wide variety of shrubs and perennials to be grown, such as magnolias, roses, hydrangeas, heucheras, hostas, euphorbias, iris, astrantias and hemerocallis. Paths radiate from the lawn through archways leading to a woodland area with bulbs, perennials and ferns under mature oak and beech trees, a gravel area with grasses and pond, fruit and vegetable growing area and bug hotels. We have lots of hellebores and other spring flowering bulbs and plants. Many of the plants in the garden are propagated for sale and we also do refreshments (home-made cake!). Entry is £3.50. There is no wheelchair access, and assistance dogs only. You would be very welcome!

Open garden Sunday 22nd April, Orchard House, Tower Road, Coleshill HP7 0LB

Jane and Doug Livesey are opening their garden in Coleshill on Sunday 22nd April for the NGS Open Gardens scheme from 2 - 5 pm (children and dogs very welcome). Tea & homemade cakes in the barn.  They are in Coleshill just next door to the cricket club - parking in the cricket club grounds. 

Talk by Christine Walkden, Thursday 10th May

Chalfont St Giles Gardens Association is joining forces with the CSG Literary Festival to host a talk from Christine Walkden, famed for her no nonsense approach to gardening. It is being held on Thursday 10th May at 8.00 pm at the Memorial Hall, School Lane, CSG, HP8 4JJ.

Chenies Manor plant fair Sunday 15th July 2018
